                                The Paso Fino!
The Paso Fino is a naturally light gaited horse breed dating back to horses imported to the Caribbean from Spain. Pasos are prized for their smooth, natural, four beat, lateral ambling gait and are used in many disciplines, but are especially popular for trail riding. In the United States there are two main groups of horses that are popularly called "Paso Fino" One, also known as the Pure Puerto Rican Paso Fino, originated in Puerto Rico The other, often called the Colombian Paso Fino or Colombian Criollo Horse, developed in Colombia. Though from similar Spanish ancestors, the two groups developed independently of one another in their home nations.

The Paso Fino has several different body types from quite small and refined to very large and powerful. The action of the two strains is somewhat different. The Puerto Rican Paso Fino is prized for its fine or delicate step while the Colombian Paso Fino tends to have more of a rapid, piston-like action.

This is a lively horse that has a natural drive and willingness, known colloquially as "brio", and generally a nice disposition. Paso Finos come in a variety of colors, sizes and body types but the even four beat gait and brio are present in all good representatives of the breed.

The Lusitano!!

The Lusitano is a portuguese breed, closely related to he Spanish Andalusian. Both are sometimes called Iberian Horses, as the breeds both developed on the Iberian peninsula, and until the 1960's they were considered one breed under the name of the Andalusian. Lusitanos are generally gray, bay or chestnut, though they can be of any solid color, including black, dun and palomino. Only bays are bred at the Alter Real stud. They usually stand 15.2 and 15.3 hands (62 and 63 inches, 157 and 160 cm) high, although some stand over 16 hands (64 inches, 163 cm). Members of the breed have narrow, but well-proportioned, heads with profiles that are slightly convex. The necks are thick and arched, leading to well defined withers, shoulders that are muscular and sloping and a deep, broad chest. The horses have short, strong backs and rounded, sloped croups, leading to a low-set tail. The legs are sturdy and muscled. Lusitanos are known as powerful horses, noted for their intelligence andwilling nature. The breed's gaits are agile and elevated, but generally comfortable to ride. The Lusitano differs from the Andalusian through having a more sloped croup, a lower-set tail, and a more convex head profile. The mane and tail are extremely thick in both breeds Originally bred for war, dressage and bullfighting, Lusitanos are still used today in the latter two. They have competed in several Olympics and World Equestrian Games as part of the Portuguese and Spanish dressage teams. They have also showed in driving competitions, with a Belgian team of Lusitanos winning multiple international titles. Members of the breed are still used in bloodless bullfighting today, where it is expected that neither horse or bull will be injured.

The Friesian!

The Friesian is a horse breed originating in Friesland in the Netherlands. Although the breed's conformation resembles that of a light draft horse, Friesians are graceful and athletic for their size. During the Middle Ages, it is believed that the ancestors of Friesian horses were in great demand as war horses throughout continental Europe. The Friesian is most often recognized by its black coat colour, though color alone is not its only distinguishing characteristic. A Friesian horse also has a long, thick mane and tail, often wavy, and "feathers" which are long, silky hair on the lower legs, purposely left untrimmed. The official breed rarely has white markings of any kind; most registries only allow a small star on their forehead for purebred registration. Though extremely rare, and not accepted for registration in most cases, Friesians are occasionally chestnut in colour. The Friesian's average height is about 15.3 hands (63 inches or 1.60 m), although it may vary from 14.2 to 17 hands (between 58 in./1.5 m and 68 in./1.7 m) tall at the withers.

OMG! I'M SOO STUPID! I forgot to do a birthday celebration on THB's Birthday!!!! How could i forget???? I'm so sorry everyone! I really didn't mean to miss it! Lets just celebrate now shall we?
Well, on May the 10th 2011 a blog was born... Not your average blog, but a blog about the most beautiful things on earth HORSES! I first got the idea for my blog when my friend presented her blog to the class. I was INSPIRED and so i went home after school (obviously) and jumped on the computer, the rest is history. I never thought my blog would be such a hit, and i was beginning to think that i should delete it because i was getting no views. Then that one time i went on my blog and saw the number 1 on my stats i became hopeful. View after view, horse after horse my blog grew more widespread. I was astounded to see that people from other countries were watching my blog progress. I couldn't have made it here without the help and views from you guys and i hope all your horsey dreams come true!
